Everything was set at Vörösmarty
tér (Square) for welcoming the new year (Szilvester Night in Hungarian).
The stage was small for the energy that Kerekes Band put up. Having a mix
of ethnic Hungarian songs with a distinctive groove, the crowd responded
with intensive body moving. One of the highlights of the night was when
they played a very personal interpretation of a Jimi Hendrix song. Zsombor
the flute player was always ready to cheer for the crowd. It was a great
welcome for the New Year, only spoiled by the the rain that started to
pour like Champagne....
